When to test for pregnancy: generalities and important facts

When to test for pregnancy is a matter of instinct. The easiest, convenient and fast method to determine pregnancy is through a test. You can simply buy it at your local pharmacy. However, it is important to opt for a good test to get rids of doubts. The result may not be 100% accurate but you can avoid the typical question. Do not forget this can cause anxiety and nervousness. Avoid mistakes with smart choices! Read on to get to know generalities.

Many factors must be considered. The day you take the test is crucial, especially since the pregnancy hormone is detected in the urine fifteen days after conception and not before. If you test before the date, or before having a delay of at least one day is likely a false negative test. Almost all tests can be performed at any time of day, but for safety experts recommend that you consider your first morning urine, since this is the one with a higher concentration of hormones.

The marking of the test may be more or less intense which may indicate in some cases the time of pregnancy. Anyway, although the intensity of the lines is low, the result is positive. As you know there are false negatives. That is, if the result is negative but your period does not appear, it is definitely negative. You should repeat the test at five or six days.

However if it is positive it is certain that you are pregnant. Except in the case of ectopic embryos (those that occur outside the uterus) or anembryonic pregnancies (without embryo), although elevated hormone levels, pregnancy is not real. The most important thing is that before the test you must read steps thoroughly. Go through details very carefully. Read the instructions, as there are several types of tests on the market.
